About

Welcome Home!

Vision Word Church is a non-denominational Christian church founded by Pastor Marcus Rasberry and his wife. The first worship service was on January 4, 2015, in Winter Garden, Florida. Vision Word Church Atlanta launched in Buford, Georgia on November 7, 2021. At Vision Word Church, we believe that church isn’t just a building you walk into, but a family you can belong, that is built on a Christ Centered Foundation!

Every Sunday at 10:00 AM, in-person or online, we have an exciting, casual, and relaxed worship service. Come as you are and expect to feel right at home! Every Wednesday at 7:30 PM, online, we dive deeper into the Word of God during Word on Wednesday. Join us online on Wednesdays for an interactive time on Facebook Live or YouTube.

Here at Vision Word Church, we strive to model lives marked by prayer and integrity.  Our passion for people is shown by how we impact humanity with the love of God! Vision Word Church exists to honor and glorify God by obeying Jesus’ command to make disciples of all people. We believe that happens through authentic relationships and meaningful service together and in the community. We accomplish this through our Mission and Core Values.

Please feel free to contact us if you need prayer or have questions.

Beliefs

Christ Centered Foundation

We affirm our belief in the one-eternal God, Creator and Lord of the world, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who governs all things according to the purpose of his will. He has been calling out from the world a people for himself, and sending his people back into the world to be his servants and his witnesses, for the extension of his kingdom, the building up of Christ’s body, and the glory of his name. We confess with shame that we have often denied our calling and failed in our mission, by becoming conformed to the world or by withdrawing from it. Yet we rejoice that even when borne by earthen vessels the gospel is still a precious treasure. To the task of making that treasure known in the power of the Holy Spirit we desire to dedicate ourselves anew. (Isaiah 40:28; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 1:11)

We affirm the divine inspiration, truthfulness and authority of both Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety as the only written word of God, without error in all that it affirms, and the only infallible rule of faith and practice. We also affirm the power of God’s word to accomplish his purpose of salvation. The message of the Bible is addressed to all men and women. For God’s revelation in Christ and in Scripture is unchangeable. Through it the Holy Spirit still speaks today. He illumines the minds of God’s people in every culture to perceive its truth freshly through their own eyes and thus discloses to the whole Church ever more of the many-colored wisdom of God. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21; John 10:35)

Christ is its Founder. He is the lawgiver; the church is only the executive. (Matthew 16:18; Colossians 1:18)

The Bible is its Only Rule of Faith and Practice. As stated in the Holy Bible, that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith that is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason. (II Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12)

The One True Godhead.  The Trinity Godhead is composed of three (3) separate and distinct personalities, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed, and function as one entity.  Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with The Father and The Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; I Timothy 2:5; Isaiah 48:16; Matthew 28:19)

Man, His Fall, and Redemption.  Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.”  But man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God. (Genesis 1:26-31. 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21)

Baptism in Water is an Ordinance.  The ordinance of baptism by immersion under the water with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have repented and in their hearts have truly believed in Christ as Savior and Lord.  In so doing, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 10:47, 48; Romans 6:4)

The Lord’s Supper “Communion” is an Ordinance.  “And when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you.  Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood.  Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”  Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.” (1 Corinthians 11:24, 25, 28)

Getting People Saved, Baptizing Them and Teaching Christ’s Principles is its Work. Lifting Christ up so people can see him. People are to repent, believe and be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. They are to be taught to observe all things whatsoever Christ has commanded us. (Matthew 28:16-20)

Tithes and Offering are the Financial Plan. Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. (I Corinthians 9:14) Every man according as he purposed in his heart so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth the cheerful giver. (II Corinthians 9:7)

Spiritual, not Carnal, are its Weapons of Warfare. Not by might, nor by power, but by the spirit of God we shall overcome. (II Corinthians 10:4; Ephesians 6:10-20)

Separation of Church and State is its Independence. No body or no person on earth shall have authority over the church. (Matthew 22:21)

Marriage is between One Man and One Woman. Marriage is a biblical institution established by God as described by Scripture. We believe that biblical marriage can only occur between one man and one woman. This church recognizes that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.  (Genesis 2:15-24; Romans 1:16-32; Matthew 19:4-12)
